Cohort 2 Implementation Research Teams - Stage 1: Open Call for Letters of Interest
Purpose and scope
ANeSA is a two-stage funding opportunity supporting Implementation Research Teams that will develop and implement sustainable, equitable, evidence-informed, scalable and gender-transformative interventions addressing neglected areas of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) among underserved populations in sub-Saharan Africa.
Focus areas
- Improving access to family planning and contraceptive services
- Expanding access to safe abortion care, where legally permitted, and post-abortion care (APAC)
- Upholding SRHR rights and ensuring access to services for adolescents
- Preventing sexual- and gender-based violence (SGBV) and improving services for people experiencing SGBV
- Strengthening advocacy for SRHR
Eligibility
The Principal Applicant must be a sub-Saharan Africa-based researcher, a citizen or permanent resident of an African country, holding a position in an eligible institution. Tanzania is an eligible country. IDRC awards project funds to eligible institutions, not directly to individuals.
