About
MSc Fisheries and BSc Aquaculture professional with over five (5) years of experience in Aquaculture, Fisheries research, teaching, marine resource management, and coastal community development. Currently serving as Assistant Lecturer at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA), with experience in university teaching, practical training, student supervision, research, hatchery management, fisheries monitoring, and community engagement. Skilled in aquaculture production systems, marine and freshwater hatchery operations, fisheries assessment, data collection and analysis, co-management, gender mainstreaming, and capacity building. Experienced in working with small-scale fishing communities and fisheries institutions in Zanzibar, with a strong commitment to sustainable aquaculture, fisheries development, marine conservation, and inclusive coastal livelihoods.
