WAHAB, SAADA OMAR is a Lecturer and Researcher in History and cultural heritage studies at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) since 2011. She holds a PhD in Social Science, 2023, from the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Göttingen, Germany. Her academic and research areas of specialization include Indian Ocean migration history, Maritime history of the Swahili coast and diaspora communities, Slavery, emancipation, and post-emancipation studies; Women’s voices in historical processes and Cultural heritage studies. Dr. Wahab has extensive experience and knowledge in designing and conducting interdisciplinary research, including archival, ethnographic, and oral history methods.
