Aley Soud Nassor

Dr. Aley Soud Nassor is a Senior Lecturer in Development Studies, specializing in Political Science and Public Administration. He holds a PhD in Politics and Governance from the University of Newcastle, Australia, as well as both an MA and a BA in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). Dr. Nassor’s research interests include African politics, governance, political accountability, parliamentary practices and procedures, and gender, youth, and development. He previously served as the Head of the Department of Social Sciences at the School of Natural and Social Sciences, State University of Zanzibar (SUZA), from 2013 to 2017. In 2018, he also served as a Project Leader of the Institute of Tourism in ERASMUS+ KA 107 Project between Institute of Tourism of the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) and Eskisehir OsmanGazi University (ESOGU) Turkey. Between February and October 2014, he was appointed as a Member of the Constituent Assembly by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, representing Higher Learning Institutions.
